*Update*
The extended pilot of the Community Refugee Sponsorship programme that started in 2021 is coming to an end in June 2025.
Immigration New Zealand does no longer accept applications from potential sponsor groups at this point. 200 refugee places were allocated to the extended pilot programme. As at May 2025, close to 190 sponsored refugees have arrived and are settling into communities across the country. No additional places are available at this time.
